I could envision where this was going right off. Nathan, my boy, and Liberty, my little princess, were both in moms face about crashing with us tonight, and there was only vacancy for one of them. As a matter of principle, we didn’t like either one of them to sleep with us on a regular time frame, and in this situation, we were alluding to practice what we taught.
Nate, who was five now, had eventually got to the spot where he was not running to our room on a weekly schedule. Liberty, on the other hand, who was just turning four was having a genuine hard time not leaping in bed with us every evening. Now , don’t misconstrue me, I deeply adore my little ones, but I had deep convictions about what you show your kids when you let them sleep with you after a specific age and both of them where already past that age. And as insignificant as it sounds, we had also just bought a sixty clam discount duvet cover.
Now, hind sight being what it is, we could have waited a few more years to spend that much doe on a discount king duvet cover. However, in my defense, it was Sherry that persisted we “needed” one. Well, what can you do, sometimes you have to pick your battles carefully to win the war. Anyway, back to our current dilemma. Nathan, calm down and listen to me son. Your a big boy now, and your sister needs you to show her you love her, by letting her sleep with us tonight. Ok. Now tell your sister you love her and lets all go to sleep. It brings tears to my eyes to see these events, really.
