Despite the United Nations eventual intervention, most of Liberias young people continue to live in abject poverty, surrounded by filth, drug addiction, and teenage prostitution. In Part 1, Vices own Shane Smith provides a brief history lesson and some essential context for understanding what caused Liberias civil war and how things got so bad.

Thanks to its wildebeests, lions and cheetahs the Mara, Kenya, is the most predator-packed reserve in the world. We camped for 16 days in the park at a community run Masai camp near Talek gate. We can’t wait to do it again! This is an excellent experience for anyone wanting to get up close and personal with wildlife in Kenya.
